Well, I enjoyed the bonus features of deviantart with a premium account, I may continue it, but otherwise ~updates!

I haven't produced much recently, I got some new art supplies though and a wonderful new camera! It also happens to be pink..
Anyway, this new camera can capture people quite nicely with so many options and modes. It also has a pet mode which is a fast shutter speed, meaning less blurry pictures, (to some extent, this is not a professionals camera) and I can't wait to use it in hopefully some holidays coming up soon. Back to England in April for a week, then somewhere in May and then a family holiday in the summer!
But I'm thinking about capturing some more snowy Norwegian scenery whilst the snow is still here.

And I am working on a painting for my boyfriend. I'm following my traditional paint brush style with a hint of cartoonyness. But I have run out of the right colour paint so its on hold for the moment.



Other than that, I have nothing else arty to report and most of my news gets added to my blog on blogger.

My boyfriend is going to make me an easel next week so I can paint much better in the apartment we have. I have a few ideas in mind for some paintings, I probably have enough paint to finish off one piece and start another.
I've turned into a little interior designer for the moment though, drawing out plans for ideas on how to personalize our apartment more. Will be a steady project that will happy gradually over the year. First stop is our little bedroom which I want to make more warming, cozy and romantic.

I also saw the aurora borealis a few nights age and it was beautiful and very inspiring. However, my camera which is a small digital thing hand-me-down from my dad was not good enough to capture it. So I would love a new camera to take photos of my rats, the Norwegian landscape and life out here over this year. For now, I will just have to be content with painting and trying to bring out some imagination and creativity from me that has been lying dormant.

So *damistheholy gave me premium membership on Deviantart for Christmas so I'm testing out a journal skin. I'm going to make my own after christmas to make it a bit more personal. Hopefully I will be uploading some more stuff soon too.

I've been feeling in quite an art inspired mood recently. I've been doing both traditional and digital drawings. I would upload my pencil drawings but my scanner seems to be scanning them at a way to high contrast and I haven't got around to fixing it.

I'm debating maybe in a few years maybe do art full-time in college/university if I don't enjoy working. But at the moment I just do art for fun and that way, I can still enjoy it.
